Cecilia’s Story
Cecilia came into the world earlier than expected, spending her first weeks in the NICU. At two years old, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Life quickly became a mix of therapies, doctor visits, and big milestones that most families take for granted.
Through it all, Cecilia has shown remarkable resilience. From her first time sitting on her own to taking steps in a gait trainer, every bit of progress has been fueled by intensive therapy and her unshakable determination.
The Inspiration
Navigating this journey opened our eyes to how many families struggle to access the therapies, equipment, and treatments their children desperately need. Insurance often falls short, leaving parents with impossible choices.
This is where the Friends of Cecilia fundraiser was born — from one family’s fight, and a desire to create something bigger than ourselves.
Our Mission
To ensure children with medical needs have access to therapies, treatments, and equipment that insurance doesn’t cover — because every child deserves the chance to thrive.
Looking Ahead
This first fundraiser will cover a full year of life-changing therapy for Cecilia and award the very first Friends of Cecilia Scholarship to another child in need. But this is only the beginning.
With the launch of the Friends of Cecilia Scholarship, we are building a lasting program that will continue supporting children for years to come. Together, we can turn one story into many — creating brighter futures, one child at a time.
